I've been using SN Systems tools since PSOne®. IOP programming started with PlayStation®2 and from the beginning ProDG supported this, which was good news for the few IOP programmers around at the time. I quickly bought the tools and started using them, and though you would think there were hardly any users of the IOP, SN responded quickly to any problems and requests I had on the IOP side.
What really helped was the speed of their support - it was so quick that I hardly noticed the time difference. I think this is down to the well-structured Japanese support system as well as the enthusiasm of the toolmakers themselves.

ProDG for PlayStation®2 is SN Systems' suite of fully featured tools that enable you to build and debug your game titles for the PlayStation®2.
CD/DVD Emulator DTL-T14000 uses a hard disk drive in the Sony Computer Entertainment PlayStation®2 Development Tool DTL-T10000 to create and test a PlayStation®2 CD or DVD image. You can duplicate the directory and file hierarchy that you want on your CD or DVD gold disc. The CD/DVD Emulator uses software which accesses standard CD/DVD libraries and accurately simulates the seek times and data access speeds of a CD/DVD mechanism, so you get an accurate picture of how your gold CD or DVD will behave when it is finally cut.
The hardware is factory-fitted in your PlayStation®2 Development Tool DTL-T10000 directly by Sony Computer Entertainment. Software to control the emulator and manage images is supplied in both Microsoft Windows and Linux formats.
