Testimonial

I've been using SN Systems tools since PSOne®. IOP programming started with PlayStation®2 and from the beginning ProDG supported this, which was good news for the few IOP programmers around at the time. I quickly bought the tools and started using them, and though you would think there were hardly any users of the IOP, SN responded quickly to any problems and requests I had on the IOP side.

What really helped was the speed of their support - it was so quick that I hardly noticed the time difference. I think this is down to the well-structured Japanese support system as well as the enthusiasm of the toolmakers themselves.

Get a new Dedicated License from SN Systems

When your company purchased a licensed product from SN Systems or a distributor, you should have been allocated a License ID. You will need this License ID in order to obtain a dedicated license, which in turn will activate the licensed product on your PC.

To obtain a new dedicated license from SN Systems using CLM:

  1. Click on the option "Get a new Dedicated License from SN Systems" at the foot of the main CLM window.

The Get New License Wizard user details form will be displayed, similar to the following:

    Get a new license screen

  2. Complete the form by entering your Name, Company name, Email address and License ID. Enter the License ID allocated to you when the licensed product was purchased from SN Systems. The User Comment field defaults to your computer name and should be used to provide an easy way to identify the license as yours.

  3. Click Next.

The next screen allows you to choose the Physical Address of your PC hardware.

    Choose Network Adapter

Select from the list of physical addresses listed, or enter your physial address manually in the field provided.

  4. Click Next

The next screen allows you to decide whether to send your new license request now, by e-mail, or to save the request details to file so that it can be sent later.

Decide how to send your license request screen.

  • Choose the "Send request now by email" option if you want the new dedicated license request to be submitted immediately. If you select this option, your e-mail program will be invoked with a new message ready to send to SN Systems.
  • Choose the "Save request details to file for later" option if you want the license request details to be saved to a file for later submission. If you select this option the next screen will display a path to the license request file (snlreg.txt) which holds the request details. E-mail the contents of this file to license@snsys.com to complete your new license request.

The e-mail sent to SN Systems is automatically processed by our licensing server. If the request details are valid, then an e-mail is automatically returned with a license file attached. However if the details are invalid then you will get a reply indicating what is not valid about the information.

You must then add the license to CLM. See Adding dedicated licenses to CLM for details on how to do this.
